Hang
As the co-creator and co-developer of the Hang app, I helped build a groundbreaking augmented reality app for Android that allows users to design and preview photo frame collages in their actual living spaces using just a smartphone camera. Developed during Photo Hack Day NYC 2014, the app used real-time spatial visualization and integrated APIs from Aviary, Walgreens, Twilio, and Shutterstock to streamline the process of selecting, arranging, and printing personal photos.
Hang won both the runner-up prize and the Walgreens API award, standing out for its seamless blend of AR, creative expression, and practical utility in interior design. After a brief successful pilot, the app was ultimately sunset in favor of other pursuits.
