The Dream Machine: Why + How I Built a Compact, Top-Notch, Deep Learning Rig at Home for $1800

My experiences in technology have all tended to scratch my itch to turn raw information into insights, and afford me a slightly stronger and more responsible hold on this exceedingly complex reality we inhabit. That said, they have also taught me that to remain effective, technologies such as deep learning must be treated as a means to an end rather than an end in and of itself. My intention then in producing this post is to provide an overview of building a deep learning rig as one means of ultimately producing these real-world “ends."
